Chico Softball Little League is proud to be a 100% volunteer-run organization. Every season, our league depends on parents, family members, and community supporters to help make practices happen, games run smoothly, and special events memorable for our players.
From coaches and umpires to snack shack workers and field crew, volunteers are essential to our success. Simply put—without volunteers, we cannot operate.
Introducing the Volunteer Opt-Out Fee
Beginning this season, families who choose not to volunteer may select a $30 volunteer opt-out fee during registration.
This fee is not a penalty. We recognize that not every family has the time or ability to volunteer, and that is completely understandable. The opt-out fee allows families to support the league in another way.
How the Fee Is Used
Funds collected from the volunteer opt-out fee will be used to:

Hire additional help for league operations

Ensure games and events remain properly staffed

Reduce burnout for our volunteer base

Maintain a positive and organized experience for players and families
